New show I'm going to watch

Well, not new but new for me. I bought Firefly, The Complete Series. It is a sci-fi show which got really good reviews back when it came out. I read one review that said it was the best sci-fi series ever. I am sceptical but now I can check it out.
I just finished season 2 Sons of Anarchy. Good stuff. Bikes, guns , girls ; all the guy stuff I can handle...

And just where the heck is Walking Dead at? I loved the 6 episodes they released and all of a sudden it was gone. I double checked my DVR to make sure I did not delete it from my to do list. Strange.

Thumbs up to a quiet house

Ahhh, my daughter and grandson are going to Texas for a week. I may be bouncing off the walls pretty quick but I will love it. It will be strange cleaning up just after myself. I will miss the little dude though....

My computor and I. A caveman running technology...

I am not sure if I run the computor or if it controls me. I have an HP with an Athlon dual core processor running Windows 7. I bought this unit in Dec 2009 at WalMart for about $600.00. It seems to run and do just about anything that I want it to. I hooked a Kodak printer up to it and love the performance of the printer and the low cartridge cost.
I guess my biggest challenge here at home is the internet service I am using. I am hooked up with Wild Blue which is satellite based and quite a bit slower than high-speed. If a thunderstorm passes by I might as well log off and go have a smoke because I will invariably loose connectivity. The good news is I had the tech man from my provider out last week because the power convertor burnt out to the modem and he told me that close to the end of this year Wild Blue plans to boost their speed near to what high speed is at. Man, I cannot wait for that day.

Another one bites the dust

Sad day. I got an e-mail from Borders saying the St. Joe store is closing it's doors. Another brick and mortar store bites the dust. There is nothing quite like browsing a bookstore. The smell, feel and atmosphere cannot be replicated by on-line stores.

Oh man. I found this Stephen King background and it fits me perfectly! Hmmm, seems to missing my favorite book though... The Shining!!!!

Hmmm. I have a blog , now what to do with it???

This is all new to me. It should be interesting to see what happens with this. Maybe I will just type some random thoughts to share with bored people....
